Values

Finding the right therapist is not an easy. Therapy Quarter is committed to making services accessible to ALL regardless of their race, gender, sexual orientation, financial situation etc. Quality services should be open to all people, and I stand firm in my belief that clients should receive the same level of care regardless of what they pay.

Therapy Quarter values commitment, because it impacts every aspect of the work. Both the therapist and client have to be committed to the process of therapy in order to find success in the long term. As the therapist, I am responsive to client concerns and remain invested throughout the client’s healing process.

This is a no brainer. Therapy Quarter is committed to providing service with empathy, kindness, and positive regard. This means that I see it as my job to provide a therapy space that is non-judgmental and unbiased. Sometimes in therapy we have to hear hard truths, but I am committed to relaying these messages with extreme care and a strength-based mindset.

Therapy Quarter is not officially affiliated with any religion. However, faith is an important value in the work that I do. We all encounter periods of extreme sorrow and grief. Faith in oneself, a higher power, or just that things will be better tomorrow; helps many people find the strength to carry on. I firmly believe that to deny the spiritual aspects of a one’s identity, means missing a large part of mental health; and I don’t want to miss anything!

In my work, I utilize evidence-based practices and research to formulate diagnosis and treatment plans. However, I recognize that no book or technique can capture each person’s inner truth. I acknowledge that this is especially true for marginalized and oppressed populations as they are often underrepresented in media and research. I am committed to addressing each client’s individual needs and obtaining feedback throughout the therapeutic process.
